JK brings 46 years of experience in the beverage alcohol/hospitality industry to the We Sell Restaurants team. He has worked on both the supplier and retail side of the industry, so he is able to give different view points concerning many aspects of the restaurant operations. His extensive network of industry professionals gives him a unique advantage as a resource for new and experienced operators.
JK was born and raised in New York City and began his career in the beverage and food industry in 1968. He opened his first pub in 1977 and after 8 successful years, moved into the supplier side as NY Metro Promotional Manager for Amaretto di Saronno.
In 1987, he moved to the Atlanta area representing Rolling Rock Brewery, overseeing local sales and marketing in GA, SC, NC, & Fl. Subsequently he joined Molson Breweries USA managing on-premise sales and promotions in GA & SC.
In 1995, JK opened the first successful franchise of The Wild Wing Cafe in Marietta, Ga. Now in it's 18th year, his original store is a multimillion dollar location. In 2013, JK ended his relationship with the Wild Wing Cafe Company and redeveloped the concept as The Wing Cafe & Tap House, creating new business opportunities and savings, while increasing sales.
In addition, in 2011 teamed up with a good friend Chef Patrick Gebrayel to open a artisan butcher shop in Marietta, Heywoods Provisions. Moving with the "farm to table" trend, Heywoods has been able to promote it's retail and wholesale offerings to many great Atlanta restaurants and customers, garnering many accolades from several food and dining articles and magazines.
JK also is a licensed real estate professional and Business Broker, specializing in the Hospitality industry. His strong background in restaurant operations, marketing and business development is another reason informed buyers and sellers choose the We Sell Restaurants team to represent them in the Atlanta marketplace.
