Tradd Bastian
A native Charlestonian, Tradd comes from a family with over 100 years of real estate experience. He received his MBA from The Citadel and has been a successful residential Realtor since 2006. Tradd owns and operates Bastian & Associates, a Charleston brokerage firm representing residential and commercial clients. We Sell Restaurants Charleston is a division of Certified Restaurant Brokers representing buyers and sellers in the sale and acquisition of restaurant businesses, as well as the commercial sale or leasing of real estate.
Tradd lives by his mantra, It’s all about relationships and trust. We have the knowledge, technology, and experience to help clients in a professional, friendly, and timely manner. We get it done right, the first time.
Tradd has three wonderful ladies in his life, his wife, Cacky, and their two adorable daughters, Charlotte and Libby. He enjoys taking the girls out for a family dinner, the outdoors, and playing baseball.
Bernie Bastian
Born and raised in Charleston and Mt. Pleasant, Bernie’s community relationships and professional career closely align with the Lowcountry’s substantial growth in real estate, tourism, and the Food and Beverage industry.
He graduated Francis Marion University with a BS in Sociology and worked with top area commercial real estate developers managing sales and marketing for single family and retail developments throughout the Tri-County. Working with other major brokers he oversaw hospitality, retail pharmaceutical development, property management, single family, multi family and retail endeavors.
Bernie formed his own commercial real estate development firm, Tidewater Development until son Tradd opened Bastian and Associates where Bernie now spearheads commercial development and restaurant brokerage as a Certified Restaurant Broker.
A true culinary fan, Bernie took a real estate break to manage McCradys, a French Quarter gastropub located in the heart of the burgeoning downtown dining scene where he cultivated relationships with countless owners, chefs, bartenders, and staff. Bernie has 3 children and three grandchildren, with a passion for southern cooking and cuisine, he also owns and operates a catering business focusing on casual Lowcountry fare.
Emily Benedict
Born and raised in downtown Charleston, with decades of direct exposure to the city’s culinary explosion, Emily witnessed the Food and Beverage scene’s growth from a traditional American dining town to present-day gourmand tourist destination. She studied Merchandising and Business at Pratt Institute NY and Psychology at Hood College MD.
Her professional experience includes 7 years as a top producing Realtor, and over 20 years as a commercial contracting partner and business development consultant. Emily also owns a legacy tourism publishing company that produces travel guides and maps, keeping her in frequent communication with tourists, new residents, and area restaurant and bar owners.
As a Certified Restaurant Broker she strives to build trust, maintaining client customer relations and loyalty through honest, and sincere communication. Helping people realize their goals and dreams is a truly rewarding thrill! she exclaims.
Emily has three children and five grandchildren. Her hobbies include dining, travel, kayaking, reading, music, and dancing.
